Protect Your BludImage Account

Your BludImage account contains personal information and your uploaded content. Follow these security best practices to keep your account safe from unauthorized access.

Create a Strong Password

A strong password is your first line of defense against unauthorized access to your account.

Use a long, complex password

Your password should be at least 12 characters long and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Avoid common passwords

Don't use easily guessable passwords like "password123", your name, birthdate, or common phrases.

Use a unique password

Your BludImage password should be different from passwords you use for other websites and services.

Don't share your password

Never share your password with others, not even with BludImage staff. Our team will never ask for your password.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second form of verification beyond your password.

1

Go to Account Settings

Log in to your account and navigate to Profile > Settings > Security.

2

Enable 2FA

Find the "Two-Factor Authentication" section and click "Enable".

3

Choose a 2FA Method

Select your preferred method: authenticator app (recommended), SMS, or email verification.

4

Complete Setup

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

Pro tip: After enabling 2FA, save your recovery codes in a secure location. These will help you regain access if you lose your authentication device.

Secure Your Email Account

Your email is often the recovery method for your BludImage account, so keeping it secure is crucial.

  • Use a strong password for your email account
  • Enable two-factor authentication on your email account
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts targeting your email
  • Use a reliable email provider with good security features

Regular Security Checks

Performing regular security checks helps ensure your account remains secure over time.

Task Frequency How To
Change password Every 3-6 months Profile > Settings > Security > Change Password
Review login history Monthly Profile > Settings > Security > Recent Logins
Check connected apps Quarterly Profile > Settings > Apps > Connected Apps
Update recovery options When details change Profile > Settings > Security > Recovery Options

Recognize Phishing Attempts

Phishing is a common way attackers try to steal login credentials. Learn to recognize and avoid these attempts.

Suspicious Email Links

Phishing Email Example

Be wary of emails claiming to be from BludImage that:

  • Contain urgent calls to action
  • Have spelling or grammar errors
  • Request your password or personal information
  • Come from suspicious email addresses

Remember: BludImage will never send you emails asking for your password.

What To Do If Your Account Is Compromised

If you suspect your account has been compromised, act quickly to regain control and prevent further damage.

  1. Change your password immediately

If you can still log in, change your password right away from the Security settings.

  2. Use account recovery

If you can't log in, use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page.

  3. Enable two-factor authentication

If it wasn't already enabled, set it up to prevent future unauthorized access.
