Control Your Privacy on BludImage

Your privacy matters to us. BludImage provides several settings that let you control who can see your content, find your profile, and interact with you. This guide walks you through all available privacy options and how to configure them.

Access Your Privacy Settings

To access your privacy settings:

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner
  2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
  3. Click on the "Privacy" tab in the left sidebar

Account Privacy Options

Profile Visibility

Control who can see your profile information:

Profile Visibility

  • Public: Anyone can view your profile (default)
  • Registered Users Only: Only logged-in BludImage users can view your profile
  • Private: Only users you approve can view your profile

Note: Setting your profile to Private will automatically set your uploads to Private as well.

Email Visibility

  • Hidden: Your email is never displayed (default)
  • Registered Users: Only registered users can see your email
  • Public: Your email is visible to all visitors

Activity Status

  • Show when active: Display a green dot when you're online
  • Hide activity status: Never show when you're online

Content Privacy

Control who can see your uploaded content:

Default Upload Privacy

  • Public: Anyone can view your uploads (default)
  • Hidden: Only accessible via direct link
  • Private: Only you can see your uploads

This setting applies to new uploads only. You can change privacy settings for individual uploads at any time.

Image Comments

  • Allow all comments: Anyone can comment on your public uploads
  • Registered users only: Only registered users can comment
  • Disable comments: No one can comment on your uploads

Image Stats Visibility

  • Public: View counts and engagement stats are visible to all
  • Private: Only you can see your image stats

Search and Discovery

Control how others can find you:

Search Engine Indexing

  • Allow: Search engines can index your profile and public images
  • Prevent: Request search engines not to index your content

Note that while we add directives to prevent indexing, search engines may not always comply.

Profile Discoverability

  • Discoverable: Your profile may appear in "Suggested Users" (default)
  • Limited: Your profile won't be suggested to others

Data Privacy

Manage how your data is used on BludImage:

Personalization & Data

  • Personalized Experience: Allow us to personalize your experience based on your activity
  • Personalized Ads: Allow personalized advertisements
  • Data for Analytics: Allow your anonymized data to be used for site improvements

Download Your Data

You can request a download of all your BludImage data, including:

  • Your profile information
  • Your uploads (original files)
  • Comments you've made
  • Activity history

To request a data download, go to Settings → Privacy → "Download Your Data" and click "Request Archive".

Privacy Best Practices

  • Regularly review your privacy settings, especially after platform updates
  • Be mindful of personal information visible in uploaded images
  • Use watermarks for images you want to protect from unauthorized use
  • Consider using the "Hidden" setting for sensitive but shareable content
  • Remember that even private content may be saved by users with access to it
