Choosing the Right Format

For Photographs

Use JPEG/JPG for most photographs. It provides a good balance between image quality and file size.

For Graphics & Logos

Choose PNG for graphics, logos, or images with text that need to be crisp and sharp. Also ideal if you need transparency.

For Animations

Use GIF for simple animations or WEBP for more complex animated content with better quality.

For Best Web Performance

WEBP generally offers the best combination of quality and file size for web usage, though it's slightly less universally supported.
